Purchased by the owner in 2020 from an authorised Patek Philippe retailer in the UK, this Aquanaut 5164R-001 in rose gold is being auctioned as a full set example. The sale includes the certificate of origin, box, outer packaging, booklets, folder and adjuster tool. The watch’s condition falls within the bounds of the seller’s ‘AA’ grading.

The watch is presented in a 40.8mm rose gold case, expertly hand-finished with sharp transitions between polished and brushed surfaces. Its svelte profile at 10.2mm makes it cuff-friendly and ergonomic on the wrist. The 120m of water resistance, adds to its versatility. The chocolate dial has a distinctive geosphere embossing, with gold applied numerals with luminescent coating. The watch features a dual time zone mechanism indicating local and home time. The local and home and day/night indications are shown in apertures. The local date is indicated by a skeletonised hand. Two buttons in the left-hand case flank can be used to move the local-time hour hand forward or backwards in one-hour increments. The date is coupled with the local time indication, and there’s a central sweep seconds hand.

Patek’s self-winding mechanical movement calibre 324 S C FUS has 294 parts and 29 jewels. The power reserve is 35 hours - 45 hours. The decorated movement showing the Patek seal and the gold rotor are visible through an exhibition casebook. The watch is fitted with a factory polymer strap and a rose gold deployant clasp with a Calatrava Cross engraving.

Introduced in 2016 the 5164 is an exotic mix of sporty Aquanaut design language, outright legibility, and an easy-to-use complication for the traveller.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
