Released in 2015 as a tribute to the 45th anniversary of Apollo 13 and the Silver Snoopy award, this collectable and limited Speedmaster brings a unique aesthetic and premium upgrades over the regular Moonwatch. The crisp white dial has many interesting design elements that tie in the watch’s theme. A small Snoopy decorates the sub-dial at 9 o’clock, and an inscription between zero and 14 seconds reads “What Could You Do In 14 seconds?” - a nod to one of the mid-course corrections performed by astronauts on Apollo 13. Bubble style lettering is used on the numerals, designed to evoke the “Peanuts” comics in which Snoopy features. Applique indices with black varnished tops and black hands provide contrast and continue the theme.

The familiar 42mm case has lyre style lugs with polished bevels, and its slightly asymmetrical shape with sheer guards protects the crown and pushers. Around the edge of the dial is a black ceramic insert that contains a luminescent tachymeter scale. Turning the watch over reveals a Snoopy medallion made from sterling silver. Hand-sprinkled silver powder on the blue enamel base gives the impression that Snoopy is floating in space. Attached to the case is a textile strap with contrast stitching and a leather underside. A twin-trigger deployant clasp keeps the watch secure on the wrist.

Numbered 1771 of 1970, the watch is presented in excellent condition with some minor signs of wear on the case. All accessories are present, including the box, guarantee and certificate of authenticity.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.
