Available exclusively to buyers of the latest 992 GT3, this Porsche Design watch, carrying the same name, is designed to emulate the famous sportscar’s look and feel. Porsche Design was founded in 1972 by Professor Ferdinand Porsche, the creator of the 911, and offers a range of design-led and technical products, including this Chronometer-certified wristwatch.

Like the car, many customisation options are available. This particular example has been specified with a lightweight brushed titanium case and a black ring around the dial - giving it a subtle and stealthy appearance. The watch’s underside is equipped with a sapphire case back displaying the calibre WERK 01.200 movement. Based on the venerable Valjoux 7750, the movement has flyback functionality and a 48-hour power reserve. Fans of the GT3 car will immediately notice that the winding rotor is based on the car’s wheel design. The references to the iconic motorcar go beyond the case, with the strap made from genuine Porsche vehicle leather.

This example was purchased in 2021 and is presented in excellent condition. The sale includes the box, guarantee card, booklets, and Chronometer certificate, which indicates that the movement was tested by COSC and certified in June 2019.

All watches offered for sale are searched and cleared against The Watch Register database and a certificate is available to the winning bidder upon request.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Watch Collecting requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.
